Colin Stimpert, President and Owner, began his career by working for one of the largest inventory services in the nation, where he learned the basics and important nuances of the business. But Mr. Stimpert wanted to create something special - the best and most trustworthy inventory counting service in the Midwest - so he started Stimpert Inventory in 1986. It has set the industry bar ever since.
Since then, his goal has been to build the best inventory service at a fair price. But “best” doesn’t mean biggest. Colin defines success in three ways. He wants to provide accurate counts, have reliable employees who are dedicated to their work, and build strong relationships with his customers. This means that we measure the success of Stimpert Inventory through proven integrity, experience and your satisfaction.
And from our experience, an inventory count is only as reliable as the person who does it. The practice with the bigger inventory outfits is to pay low wages and expect high employee turnover— that means that most of their counts are done by people with little experience...and even less interest in their work.
